Who are we…
We are Border Terrier enthusiasts. We show in conformation shows and compete in performance events. We love competing in agility, conformation and earth dog trials, and obedience occasionally. We love just hanging out with our pups on the couch or walking the ravine in Wisconsin.
This web site was created as a place to share pictures and information about our dogs.
We chose the name Gusto for a couple of reasons. First it was my parents kennel name in the 70’s and 80’s when they raised Giant Schnauzers. Second it is a combination of my husband and mines last names – Olson and Gustafson.
We have 3 Border Terriers now, and one that is living with my daughter. 2 have passed on, and have left a big hole in our hearts. Other dogs in our life was my Giant Schnauzer, CH Gusto Farrah CD (82 – 95) and German Wire Haired Pointer Gusto Humphrey (84 – 87), along with dear Heidi, Apricot Standard Poodle (66 – 79). Other great dogs from my mom & dad’s kennel were Gus and Hercules.
We have bred two litters of Border Terriers now, and have completely enjoyed the experience. We have signed The BTCA Ethical Standard. Here’s an article about trying to buy a bargain purebred dog.
